Original acrylic on linen canvas painting by Carmen de Bruijn, ready to hang. A while ago I met a kookaburra in a Dutch zoo. He (or she?) kept staring at me and sat on his branch dead still. I was a bit hypnotized by this amazing bird and took a picture of it to use one day as a reference for a painting. Now the kookaburra stares at me again, with its colorful feathers, from the canvas. The kookaburra is painted on a quality stretched linen canvas with a sturdy wooden frame of 2 cm. The sides are painted as well, so there is no need to frame it. The painting has a satin varnish finish layer. A wire is attached to the back, so the painting can be hung directly from the box.. When shipped, the painting will be well packed and protected with foam board, plastics and bubble wrap in a sturdy cardboard box.
