About The Artwork

The exhibition "The Event Horizon", the second in the trilogy, takes its name from an astrophysical phenomenon that designates the precise point where light and matter rush into a black hole. The title of the exhibition refers to the tipping point into nothingness to figuratively designate a loss of information, the exhaustion of a resource or a variant between two parallel times. I was inspired by source images from archives representing scenes of taxidermists or landscape painters working on dioramas for natural history museums. The images were then processed by assembling and juxtaposing them with current events or landscapes of my habitat. This series proposes a reflection on the point of no return and the advent of a new world.
