About The Artwork
I want these floating abstract forms to be identified as female so I gave these paintings women's names. These names relate to experiences I have had in the art world, mythical characters I have read about, references to art history, and names of women I have known in my life. I hope the viewers will interpret the works in their own way and relate these images to their own experiences. This title is the name of my Italian neighbor when I lived in Buenos Aires. She had escaped the Nazis and migrated to Argentina. Her nickname was "Bionda" which means blonde in Italian.
