The goose is a sacred animal for very old peuples.Vigilance, material prosperity, but also purity friend of Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love, it also leads to death and the fact, the resurrection of the Esprit.L'on understood that the children's stories together animals are not empty dreams. The artist wanted to sanctify this Anatidae by associating it with the fable of "the goose that lays the golden eggs" by Jean de la Fontaine and "woman and the hen" Aesop (original Phrygian Greek writer who is credited authorship of the story and that takes in the seventeenth century, Jean de La Fontaine). The table is the main subject farmer and her goose, a golden egg in the center and a broken egg simpler to his right resulting moral it often happens that the greedy, wanting more and more, even lose what they have.
