Le Femme Nuage [She is The Cloud] is a brand new 2024 collection with new technique where painting created in a high tempo with highly diluted oil paint on canvas with no room for error. The cloudscapes are personified as female characters. No-one specific per se, but rather cumulatively as a woman kind. Compared to a cloud, each painting is given a female name. She is unique, colourful, bright, fluid, possibly unstable and definitely ever-changing being. Just like the shape shifting cumulus nimbus, her emotions condensed. The range stretches from deliriously happy to stormy gloom. The physical aspects of cloud forming and their ability to mesmerise and augment environment then looked at the angle of the female as a force of nature. The technical aspect of the series is different from a traditional application of oils and acrylic paint. It's more body than mind. Pace has to be fast to prevent paint from solidifying. Underneath the clouds, there is acrylic gradient to create morning or evening sky backdrop. Crisp and clear. ** accept commissions min size 76x101 cm/ 30x40" max - challenge me!
