About The Artwork
In the southern Cantal region, there, hidden between the old volcanos and the medieval fortress town of Salers, is a small hamlet called Boudou, which is where this gouache/watercolor study was made. The small hamlet facing Boudou is on the opposite side of the ravine that separates them, Saint Georges. From far away, the inhabitants of the opposite ravine seem to lead exotic lives, full of unknown possibilities.
