About The Artwork
“La Mariée sous la Pluie” is a painting, where the observer is watching an urban landscape from a car while it´s raining. The interesting part is that the landscape goes to the background and the rain drops become important. In this case not even the material rain drops are important but the colors and the forms on the glass, which transform a realistic landscape into an abstract painting. A bride is waiting under the rain. It´s a play between reality and abstraction, but also an invitation to focus on small details and realize that beyond the whole picture there´s another world, the World of Water and Light. It is an invitation to contemplation and to discover that each drop is unique and ephemeral, like everything in nature, like us.
