About The Artwork

"La Tisseuse" portrays yet another automatic figure that quickly took shape as a rather well known mythological character(s):The Fates. Moirai for the greeks, Fata for the roman or Norns in the north, there are three sisters weaving for each of us a string of life. One spins wool into a string, the second one knits it into patterns, stories and the last one snaps it, dead. it only seems to make sense that such a character would occur in research on capturing the moment. The demonic looks of the main figure, in contrast with the more orderly backdrop may remind of the difficulty there is to capture that moment. A moment, A state always so volatile that it lets us frustrated, weary of the work, even while painting with love. This is a factual report and an invitation to take the moment.
