La liberación de lo imposible Painting

Currently living between Barcelona and Bogotá. I paint and draw since I can remember. I’ve studied interior design and scenic design for cinema to finally realize that what I was passionate about is painting. After some years of experimentation and learning in a self-taught way, I decided to start studying at the Barcelona Academy of Art, where I studied for 5 trimesters as a part-time student. The global pandemic and a new life in the middle of Los Andes brought me the opportunity to study online with Studio Escalier, París, and later taking the summer intensive in-person course in Argenton Chateau. For me Painting is a way of expression that allows me to have an interior perception and self-knowledge, At the same time, it allows me to bring to the surface and manifest my deepest and most primitive emotions. Who am I? Why do I exist? Why am I feeling what I am feeling? My mind flows through these ways of internal dialogue creating images and a visual language that represents it. I like to use the body’s expression in all its amplitude as a representative icon. On the other hand, the universe and nature are also a big source of inspiration for me. Its complex mechanisms, shapes, processes and functions. I lean on philosophy, anthropology and psychology as a point of reference for self-knowledge and exploration of one self, deepening in my emotions and feelings. Studying the individual as a part of a whole to understand beyond the anecdotal.
