About The Artwork
This piece is made with clays collected from the hills around where i grew up, carefully dried and cleaned to make pigments suitable to the acrylic medium. Two works came from this. This is the child part. This work it´s inspired by the archeological record of hominid footprints found in Laetoli,Tanzania. In those you can imagine the precise moment in which the youngling takes some exploratory steps while the adult waits in care. Here, the young its alone. Death is an ancient thing.
