About The Artwork

"Landscape Resonance I" is an abstract landscape painting that showcases the artist's exploration of abstraction and expressive gestures. The dominant teal tones imbue the artwork with a sense of tranquility and depth. A bold geometric red line intersects the canvas, adding a dynamic visual element. The painting subtly evokes the imagery of a seashore, drawing inspiration from the captivating landscapes of Iceland. Executed with oil on canvas, this artwork showcases the artist's ability to evoke emotions through a harmonious fusion of form, color, and technique. "Landscape resonance I" have been exhibited at the artist's solo exhibitions in Hungary and Serbia. It is an oil painting on canvas. It has painted sides, no frame needed, ready to hang. Signed on the front. Shipped in a box.

I was born on 25th May 1990, in Subotica, Serbia. I got my degree in Visual Arts in 2013, at the University of Szeged, in Hungary. Now I live and work in my hometown. Although my painting is highly abstracted, one may discover worlds in the details – the sun, the moon, rivers and lakes, skies, dust in the clouds, windows on houses. During my studies I started to enjoy painting landscapes. At the beginning these were classical landscapes with realistic approach and color palette, but over time the compositions became more and more abstract. The topic is of a secondary importance to me; while I paint, I mostly deal with creating the balance and the composition. One of the pillars of my painting is the planned, controlled randomness, the conscious placement of gestures that, according to compositional aspects, may seem accidental on the canvas. While consciously building up the composition, I pursue to paint instinctively with full freedom. I seek harmony between the constructive, the geometric, and the expressive, the chaotic. Despite the placement of each geometric shape on the canvas being in contrast with the surrounding sweeping brush strokes and paint dribblings, a sense of harmony and calmness emerge in the restless reality. I want to wake up the viewers’ minds. I want to encourage them to step out of their comfort zone, to look for new details, motifs, that might have remained undiscovered even for me during the creative process; to be not just a viewer, but to be an active part of the art, to be inside of the painting, a resident of my world.
