Late October Day was inspired by a walk I took in a nature area located north of Dallas, Texas. I happened to turn back and I saw these wonderful shadows on the path with the sky turning a light rose pink to my right. I choose a mixed media approach (oil and chalk pastel on archival oil paper) because these materials best conveyed the essence of the scene.
