About The Artwork
I am working not on the visible appearance of an object or a situation, but on the action of the invisible force that it has come to appear and the time of waiting. I transfer the invisible something into an image through my actions and external environmental conditions. Just as the rainwater accumulated on the wall over a long period of time leaves a different mark from its original appearance, my work represents the traces of time. Not any form of reproduction that could be inferred, I wanted to present the trace itself. Through repeated actions to paint and dry the paint, the first dot of water gradually became lumps, planes, and filled the whole thing.
