About The Artwork
These artwork is inspired by the basin view I have from my studio in the south of France. I love to see at during hours and then I paint what I feel. I just try to translate the joy I feel when I observe the reflection of nature in the water. I used acrylic for these work, as these medium accepts to work fast and draw quickly for overlays of paint and colours. I finish with a resin to put accent at water effects.

Born in 1962 in Gandia, Valencia, Spain. She lives and works in Toulon, France. Maria Garcia Molió paints from childhood, inspired by the light emanating from the painting of Sorolla. She paints trees, waves, seaweed as a brush, between orange trees and shells in her village. Maria observes the painter, received in summer by her family. This is how she paints her first oil-artwork at 10 years old. Graduate of Graphic Arts, she joined an architectural firm. It is "La Movida in Spain of the years 75/80". Then she went to London in 1983, where, self-taught studied art, traveling through museums, she discovers Turner and the cry of Munch challenges her.
