VIEW IN MY ROOM
Portrait of a person wearing a tarboush (aka fez), being pushed and pulled in different directions by contrasting hands. The tarboush is known as being a symbol of Levantine culture, a remnant of the life-changing Ottoman Empire. It has withstood even British and French colonialism in the region. The figure was androgynous-ly modeled on the artist's face, painted with quality acrylic paints, and "carved" while wet in the artist's signature style. The artwork will be carefully rolled in a tube with acid-free archival paper.
