About The Artwork

Let the journey begin! In 2020, there was a coronavirus pandemic and this changed our world a lot. Millions of people were forced not to leave their homes, many began to work remotely and shop online. The centers of all cities in the world were empty, there were no tourists and street cafes. I, too, had to sit at home for six months and memories of my past life inspired me to a series of works with airports. In this series of works, the hope is laid that the pandemic will soon end, the borders will open and the world will return to its usual life.

Hello! Welcome to my shop! My name is Evgeniya, I am watercolor artist and illustrator. I was born in the Far East of Russia. The house in which I grew up was on the ocean shore and from childhood I heard the cries of seagulls, the sound of waves and felt the salty air. My family and I often went on a boat to the open sea, so love for the sea settled in my soul forever and it became frequent plot of my paintings. In 2008, my husband and I left Vladivostok, we traveled for 10 years without staying long in one place. At that time, I worked as an illustrator and painted in watercolors, selling my works. I have lived in different countries, traveled all over Russia by train along the Trans-Siberian Railway, lived in different cities, both in the north and in the south of the country, and have been in Moscow since 2018. Life in the north, polar nights and harsh climate inspired me to a series of works with the northern lights. Traveling along the Trans-Siberian Railway was reflected in my landscapes dedicated to village life and Russian nature. The pandemic and lockdown found me in Moscow. Like millions of other people, I sat at home and dreamed of traveling. So, a series of works with airplanes and airports was born. I never cease to be amazed at the beauty and diversity of our world. Each place where I have been I save not only in the form of memories, but also in my paintings. My artistic credo is the ability to see beauty in everything, notice rhythms and grace, and transfer it to paper. I paint because I want to tell everyone: "Look how beautiful the world around us is, how unique and diverse it is!"
