ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Inspired by the summer heat and views, I've made a composition based on summer's intensity. The high contrast transforms color from something ephemeral into a tangible substance. Impasted blues account for this effect, along with subtlety of canvas texture divided densely between greens and reds. I carry out the forms carefully one by one, which gives the work its organic rhythm.
