About The Artwork

This artwork is a modern painting with some abstract/documentary elements. Painted by a romanian artist, Todor István-Emánuel in a unique style. I usually get my inspiration from nature, but not always. Now I get inspiration from the recent past. I chose this time the acrylic/watercolor/oil/mixed medium, because I try to be more experienced in this category. This artwork presents 2 side of the world and 1 window, through which we can be free. Rich contra Poor. Why is there such a gap between the two sides. I trust that my viewers, when they look at this painting, feel as if they are in the "bad period".

My name is Todor István-Emánuel, I was born in Romania, in a small city that called Odorheiu-Secuiesc. I completed my studies here in the "Dr. Palló Imre" High School of Arts. My degree is ceramic, but I don't use it at the moment because I don't have the opportunity. I had a separate exhibition together with my class (subject: The II. World War). After completing my studies, I started to develop myself in the field of art (from watercolor to oil, and many other fields of art: like painted glass, furniture renovation, etc.).I have paintings in Romania, Hungary, Switzerland and Sweden. I also worked with my artist brothers. My favorite style is impressionism and the theme is nature. My favorite artist is Claude Monet. I like oil and acrylic paint, but I sketch some works with watercolors. I want to create a garden like Monet's. "When you go out to paint, try to forget what objects you have before you, a tree, a house, a field, or whatever. Merely think, here is a little square of blue, here an oblong of pink, here a streak of yellow." - Claude Monet
