I remember going to the National Cherry Blossom Festival as a child. Watching thick winter-frosted trunks push up flowers so delicate and soft and un-city-like felt like a fantasy in motion. And while I wish the city looked that way year-round, I have to admit the fleeting nature of cherry blossoms taught me a huge life lesson – our time on earth is short and it’s what we do with it that counts. “The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the fragility and the beauty of life. It’s a reminder that life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful but that it is also tragically short.” ~~ Title: "Life is overwhelmingly beautiful but tragically short" ~~ Size: 20" x 20" / 50 x50 cm. Nadin Antoniuk is a Ukrainian artist. She has her own unique style, combining the expression of Jackson Pollock and the sensuality to the color of Claude Monet. This is a multi-layer overlay of paint. Each subsequent layer of paint falls on the painting after complete drying. Thus, the painting is obtained with a large number of shades and color combinations. This makes the painting rich in texture, rich in color and the desire to peer into every square centimetre. In their artistic style, threads of Impressionism, Expressionism, and Abstractionism are woven together to create a unique fusion, evoking a sense of vividness and depth. On the canvas, threads of paint intertwine, with some resembling the tangled, windswept locks of a maiden by the sea on blustery days, while others exhibit a more serene quality, reminiscent of the delicate sound of a crystal glass. The painting technique involves the application of paint in threads, which intertwine to form their own canvas. This method employs a multi-layered paint technique, where each subsequent coat of colored threads of paint is applied after a million multi-colored splashes have dried. Overall, the painting boasts over 50 layers of colorful splashes. Her paintings and style are influenced by the beauty of every moment in nature, in relationships, in thoughts, music, a sense of harmony. Her paintings are feelings on canvas. Its goal is to give the opportunity to find your story in a dialogue with the painting, to find a common vibration, story, memories and notes of sensuality. This may be your invitation to a dialogue with painting. And if this happened, then the goal of creating painting has been achieved ... painting has spoken to you)
