ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece is a reassurance of support, of love and of understanding. It was a piece for a friend of mine, and through it I wanted convey the foggy feeling of being lost and alone, with the bright lights of the people who care about you shining as a reminder of who is there to help. I don't include hanging hardware with any of my pieces to allow maximum flexibility for displaying anywhere.

I am a young visual artist based in Leeds city centre. Heavily influenced by Abstract Expressionists like Rothko and Action Painters like Kline, my work explores organic movement and bold colour. I work mainly with acrylic paint and plywood, always on the ground and always barefoot. I experiment with oil on transparent acrylic when painting portraits, and also incorporating poetry, both original and a variety of other poets.
