hello. my name is Brian Treadwell. i was born on December 23, 1977 in rural Georgia, USA -- the improbable offspring of a Georgia country boy and a Santiago, Chile city girl. i was Raised in the sprawling suburbia of Atlanta, GA. i'm primarily a "self-taught" artist. I exhibited creative tendencies from a very early age. my parents were very tolerant, if not supportive. a garage band (like out in the garage at a crazy volume) was a regular occurrence. art projects were never trashed. if you were gonna act like a punk, you'd better talk some kinda sublimity to support it! anecdotally, of all the visual artists anyone could name, I note, perhaps surprisingly, "something like a" Rauschenberg! It would be monumental to achieve a position to create at that level...in that spirit. I appreciate much of what the world has to offer. I regard most of our popularly-approved cultural paragons as the 'superModels' of society. thus, I try to cultivate appreciation for what I perceive to be the many more treasures available in the proximity of regular people. As a boy, I dreamt of recording my (beloved) music in a manner of reasonable fidelity...~~(hymnals to industry). After high school, I lived in Savannah, GA --entertaining the idea of a "specialized" life in multimedia production. I later returned to ATL and flirted with the sciences for a few years... Eventually, I earned a B.S. in mathematics from Georgia State University in 2001. When the contrary spirit that guided me as a boy would no longer maintain its slumber, I left graduate school after about a year. Later, I lived in and visited Boston, MA frequently over course of a few years. I now exist, DIY Flamboyantly, in a home in the exurbs of the ATL. obviously, along my travels, there have been many names and faces...(and i'd like to think, *~!i rocked them all!~*) I married my beautiful Camilla; she calls me Gonzo! we have a crazy-brilliant beautiful little girl, Gracelyn. I work to live and live to do my work; if there is a god, sometimes i consider myself his prodigal son... however, most often, I feel possessed with a charge outside of myself.
