About The Artwork
This painting is of a corner of my lounge room where I work, live, eat and earn my bread and butter. The layers represent the feeling of having to work in a corporate setting, full of unhappy people. More so, this painting represents the calm I try to find in my space, away from the corporate world, even though I am in it. The slight red rectangle in the work signifies a particularly gruelling meeting I was in, with one of the team members losing it at anyone and everyone. Sometimes, people take their anger out on those they think are weaker. I'm not weaker, I just choose how I react to situations of aggression. Hence, why it's call 'Now I like blue'. Blue is a coming colour.
