"Lonely body" - a painting and drawing series is devoted to loneliness in illness. A body tired of the disease of the mind and lonely in its struggle with the disease. With this series, I want to tell the suffering of mentally ill people, show their presence, and sensitize the environment to their existence. In this series, I combine painting with drawing.

Monika Konczakowska was born in 1973 in Gdańsk. Graduated from Academy of Fine Arts. Currently teaching painting and drawing at the Faculty of Architecture in Sopot University of Applied Sciences. Since 2008 cooperates with the City Theatre Miniatura in Gdańsk.
