About The Artwork
Lonely girl in the bath. Inspired by American artist Edward Hopper. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and a handwritten thank you note. Quote from the artist: At art school we also painted nude models. One day there was a very nice girl and while posing she had a nice conversation with the class. Her name was Jannie. When the break had started and we went to the cafeteria, she asked if she could come with us. And... that she had to dress. "Well, no, we answered, we don't care." But the cafeteria manager thought otherwise and ordered her to get dressed. "You don't have to, this is a free art academy after all," we answered in unison. Furious, the man left his cafeteria and minutes later he returned with the director, they were carrying a large blanket in their hands. Then they put the blanket over the naked girl and... hop. hop, hop, they took our Jannie. We never saw her again after that.

These works of art are in the possession of the Municipal Museum Amsterdam where they are exhibited during educational exhibitions. He was born in 1951 in Eindhoven (Netherlands). Nowadays he lives in Spain in the picturesque town of Altea. He studied at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's Hertogenbosch in Holland. Exhibitions of paintings, drawings and objects in numerous galleries, companies and government institutions all over the world. New exhibitions are coming up.
