About The Artwork

An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the gods. It is called senbazuru. Cranes (grues in French) symbolize in Asia longevity, eternal youth, prosperity, migration, hope, happiness and wisdom... This artwork invites to get perspective from our life and to what is constaintly moving in it and it also belongs to a serie dedicated to the rainforest and recent human criminal fires. It aims to wake up our mind to the beauty of Nature and its important role to Humanity’s present and future. We are not separate from it, the rainforest is our lungs, its rivers our blood.

"I believe in the healing beauty of Nature and Arts. » Cæsiliæ's oneiric paintings open a window to radiant realms. They depict luminous reflections, women and floating flowers on water displaying a visual dance of light and feelings… Her work appears in several private and public collections around the world and it has been featured several times in curated selections by international galleries and charity organizations dedicated to Women and the Environment. Cæsiliæ comes from her second name, Cecilia, which means blind, fortunate or secret in Latin. In addition, Saint Cecilia (230 AD) was the saint for poets and musicians. She is a French painter currently based in Berlin, Germany and specialized in painting with natural linseed oil. Each artwork is unique and signed at the front or at the back by the artist.
