About The Artwork

Sometimes life challenges us. Either we will survive and become stronger, or we will perish in the abyss of our fears, doubts and insecurities. At this moment, various demons of fear, despair and uncertainty take possession of a person. Hope for a brighter future is fading. This picture conveys this state and says that even in the most desperate state, there is always a ship of hope on the horizon that you can see. The mystical picture in detail conveys the plot of one of the periods of my mother's life. Hard times in the 1990s The collapse of the USSR, poverty and complete despair. This period forced my mother, a fragile woman, to move to another country (Turkey), where her career as an artist began. After leaving her parents and separated from her child, Lydia sets off on a "ship of hope" to a new unknown life. She defeated her demons and made a decision that changed her life before and after.

My name is Artem Papyan. I am a designer, artist, psychologist and diversified person. I am fond of esotericism, photography and do kung fu wing chun. I paint my paintings under the pseudonym "Arthur King". In my paintings I use different writing techniques. Mystical tmatics attract me the most. Through my paintings, I convey the energy of the relationship between good and evil. Since in my understanding these are two components of one whole, like yin and yang. One is in balance with the other. I also love animals and sometimes I paint parts of dogs or wild animals. In my work, I am constantly evolving and can change my style of writing and images in the paintings to more clearly convey the idea or what I want to say to the world through my paintings. For me, paintings are not just drawings. The picture should catch the viewer, with its mystery and evoke emotion in a person.
