About The Artwork
The main inspiration was staying in the mountains, in difficult conditions, in which we have no choice but to confront God. I hope that the audience will relate to the moment of the great winter, that it will open up in them the questions of the immense power of nature and God. I hope that viewers will lose themselves in the world of this painting for a while and thus find a way out and to themselves. It's an allegory, not a pre-given correct answer. I decided to work on this content in the medium of oil painting, because I think that something so strong and experienced cannot be visualized better than in a painting.

Filip Kůrka (1993) is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied in the studios of Martin Mainer and Jiří Petrboek and is known for his depictions of pornographic themes. Recently, however, he has undergone what he calls a personal transformation, during which God gave him the idea of gamekeeper realism. Thus, Kůrka became its founder and is currently working intensively on its realization.
