About The Artwork
My girlfriend inspired this work! She was talking about dots on canvas so I got the idea to just really thin down the paint and apply the dot and let it run. Then drybrushed. I repeated this process 2 more times to end with this piece. The original is 11x14 stretched canvas using oil paints. Black gesso was used to prime the canvas. Currently living in Aiken, South Carolina, and growing up in Wilkes Barre, Pa I'm a single father of two young girls ages 5 and 8. I have always enjoyed nature thanks to growing up on the Pa Appalachian countryside/forest. I would walk the forest outside of my home, walk the numerous hiking trails locally. The sights, the sounds, its truly inspiration at its finest. Then comes the imagination side, my abstract work. I have always loved geometry. From the way cities are designed down to architectural designed buildings. Geometry is all around. It's fun... abstract is. Its letting go of boundries, not worrying about a formula.
