This painting is part of a series portraying the love between two women, the affection. It is sensual without being sexual. The lines formed by the bodies are created to convey harmony and balance, and connection. The absence of features makes them anonymous but at the same time allow one to identify freely. The shapes of the body are generous, powerful and sensual, as a reference to the Nana of Niki de Saint Phalle. The colors are minimalistic, gold, silver and black. As they reflect their environment, the painting is alive and evolves throughout the day, and allow one to focus on the shapes and the energy of the line, and the gesture of the two women. The subject is of course an emotional one, two women together are usually portrayed as sexual objects, or their sexual drive is put in the forefront. I wanted to paint to love and the care that two women would have for each other, the sensuality they communicate in being close to one another and convey the love most of all.
