VIEW IN MY ROOM
The title of the painting comes from a poem by George Herbert about God's love for us. The chair in the work is a grandmother's sewing chair, and the colors chosen from a 1950 refrigerator palette to convey a connection or memory of safety. There are many small details including block printed letters spelling the word "love."
