Statement: The observation of the figurative and non-figurative from the perspective of the abstraction is a general characteristic of my paintings. More precisely, the how of the reduction of forms and content, occasionally the diverging from the starting-point, then the settling down on the diverse scale of the detachment are the standard characteristics. I find it very important to preferably disregard my real experiences and the convention of my experiences. By this I mean that the non-representative, or absolutely abstract forms, colors, color fields feature abstract elements of different a quality that originate in figurative basics. The planar and spatial connections therefore dissappear, sometimes as a collage, creating a co- ordinate relationship, sometimes with a spatial reference by shadows and color reflexes. The joint presence and hereby the pictorial dissonance of all these strongly occupy me. They grow into a pleasant, as much as sometimes to an unpleasant – or unwilling – sense and at the moment this sense turns to an emotion, the pictorial definition becomes exciting. To verify the abovementioned; I show interest to the planar or a pictorial element on spatial surfaces, so that the dimensions mix. The square as one of the most basic two-dimensonal figure is one of the best examples for this, giving the impression of a parallelogram, a recumbent quadrat in space. Parallel to this I take a gesture or line as part of the same toolbar, that tip out from space within the confiness of a painting (and then tip back at the next step). On the whole, I may declare that I am mostly occupied with the problems of painting, of which’s pictorial manifestations are diversified in point of the mechanism of work, phrasing and the above said.
