About The Artwork
This textiles panel from my collection Mannequin Tales shows figurative images in soft sculpture which illustrate the title. Mind Games : in Confidence and Control This panel had a limited colour palette and I use fastenings, in this case buttons to illustrate unwanted control. The use of textiles in art is uncommon and the marriage of fabric and metal and plastic in this panel make the visual and tactile qualities exciting.
