MARIPOSA TECKNICOLOR Painting

I discovered my passion for painting many years ago. I´m an autodidact which allows me to develop my art without the influence of the formal education, learning and experimenting with various media. My works are inspired by nature, by the sensations and colors that surround me. I place myself in the abstract space of color to transmit the vibration of what I feel, the energy of life, the places I remember, the smells, the emotions. My process begins in front of a white canvas without having any preconceived ideas nor expectations on the final outcome. By painting layer by layer, which could be added and scraped at will, I reveal the work of the personal discovery that is always in constant movement, like a trip to my inner self that allows me to free the emotions and feelings. This process acts like a catalyst that helps me be more conscious and observing and I reflect that throughout my trajectory as an artist. At the end of the process I am amazed and moved by what I´ve expressed, willing to continue on this journey. I am Argentine and since 2002 I live in Barcelona. I expose my works in different spaces of Catalonia.
