About The Artwork
There are pig machines, human machines, heart and lung machines, oil rotary pumps.... It is a series of small formats (approx. 10 cm x 16 cm) that I have been pursuing for 26 years. In this sense, seriality also has to do with industrial production. In a mechanised world that equates need with consumption, a spiral of creating and satisfying needs arises. But my machines are completely useless. They differ in form and colour, but resemble each other in the absurdity of their lack of function.
