About The Artwork

About This Painting: Light is the source of life on the earth. Forests are occupying most of the earth. When we think about forests, subconsciously we visualize the trees. Trees are giving oxygen to us to breathe, the same way they live through light. I painted in this picture the same through painting light, trees and hard earth. Painting Approach: I mostly use Large Painting Knives to paint these Pictures, those knives create magical textures which create the feeling of Realism, even though I paint in an Abstract approach.

Magunta Dayakar (Real name: Magunta Venkata Subba Reddy) was born in India. After discontinuing his studies in graduation, he did different things in different periods. He had become a popular fiction writer in his native language Telugu, credited with thirty-five novels. He had worked as an editor and also published a feature magazine for a brief period. He scripted, acted and directed two feature films. He worked for Spectra and Coca Cola India as an artist. He ran Creative Painting School for children in Hyderabad for nearly 15 years. He has written 15 books on painting, which are successful and most of them got 4 and 5-star ratings. Those books available on amazon. His paintings have been collected by important clients and institutions in India and Abroad. Dayakar lives in Hyderabad, India. His Painting Approach He paints forest scenes from imagination. He says, ‘’ … When you paint from imagination you have both pros and cons. Pros are that you don't need to follow nature or photographs to paint and if you follow them, you should be restricted by their structures. But if you paint from imagination, you can create anything whatever you want. Problem also lies here. Placing all the things, they may be trees, grounds, rocks, water or any number of other things, achieving unity between them through color, texture and light is a big challenge. I used to struggle to get some fresh visuals so sometimes I would get what I imagine, sometimes won't, but I would struggle till I get them. In that struggle, I used to learn new lessons regardless of my attempts being successful or not. I would treat it as a learning experience which gives me joyful moments in life. Next question ... People used to ask me; how much time does it take to finish my painting? In fact, it is very difficult to say. Some paintings take months, some take a few weeks, and some would be finished in a few days. If it is a demo, it would take only a few hours but to get the right visual depth in it, I need to work more on it.
