About The Artwork

Majorelle Blue is an abstract representation of experiences and feelings I’ve gained in my travels. This piece is inspired by my trip to Morocco and specifically by the museum of Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakesh. You can see the blue color or so called majorelle blue on the walls of the building, but also in the traditional indigo dye coloured clothes of “blue men” which stains their skin. It’s created with matte acrylic, gesso and coffee on a gallery-wrapped canvas stretched on 1.5” frame, finished with a few layers of matte varnish. The sides are finished. It ships UNFRAMED. The mounting wire attached to the back. Signed on the front and back. It can be displayed on its own or as a part of the gallery wall combined with other pieces. Please follow my Instagram page for process videos and other work @olenasydoruk.design Please contact me for commission work if you like my style. I can also help you to visualize the art piece in your room or suggest an art piece that works in your place.
