Male Anatomy Painting

I am a poet and visual artist based out of Pennsylvania. My book Sanskrit of the Body won in the (U.S.) National Poetry series (selected by Mary Oliver) and is available through Penguin. My poetry has been collected in numerous anthologies, including, most recently, A Sulfur Anthology (Wesleyan, 2016) and The Gertrude Stein Awards in Innovative American Poetry (Sun & Moon Press). I have published several other titles, including translations of early works by Andre Malraux (Fugue State Press). My visual art has appeared in numerous magazines, including SCORE, Aubade (U.K.) and Her Royal Majesty (France) and has appeared commercially in the context of album covers for recording artists Should and ambient composer Porya Hatami. I was one of four artists who contributed photography and hybrid photography to the anthology Four Photographers (the other artists were Tim Pyle, Esther Reyes and Ivan Melnychuk). My praxis as a writer has always been heavily invested in the visual arts and I was actively involved in the founding of the Susquehanna Museum (in central Pennsylvania) in the nineties. My wok will be included in a group exhibition in Norway in 2017.
