About The Artwork

Top down view of a tree. The visual effect shows a fine base and a wider extremity while in reality, it is the opposite. A snake shaped character is rolled up around the tree as to choke it. The character contradicts the perspective and inverts the visual effect; he is voluminous at the bottom of the tree and tenuous in his extremity. Its feet, hands, mouth and eyes are red as blood. It is sooty, and it has a deathly blue body, which differentiates him from the light, displayed by the trunk. The face of the character is enclosed in a big black hourglass that symbolizes the black hole of time.
