About The Artwork
I have been a lover of Manets paintings ever since an early trip to the Musee d Orsay in Paris. So when I came across a painting of Manet himself, by a fellow painter I felt inspired to create an impressionistic take on it. So it is an impressionistic painting of one of the great European Impressionists. I have deliberately flattened his appearance and embellished the piece with spray paints.
