In my hand I hold a small treasure chest full of marbles. Each individual marble tells a story, a piece of my childhood that is deeply anchored in my heart. With a gentle shake, they made a soft clatter that sounded like music to my ears. At that time, they were not just toys, but a source of joy and wonder. Their unique patterns and colours fascinated me and immersed me in a world where anything seemed possible. But the marbles were not only an object of play, but also of sharing and connecting. On warm summer days, we would sit on the floor and exchange marbles - a ritual of friendship. The marbles were a symbol of community and cohesion, because they connected us in a unique way. Today, years later, I hold this treasure chest full of marbles in my hands and remember all the precious moments of my childhood. Although the years have passed and life has taken its own paths, the feelings and memories that the marbles awaken in me are still vivid. They remind me that the simplicity and light-heartedness of childhood have an inestimable value. The marbles may be just little glass balls, but for me they epitomise a time of joy, creativity and innocence. They are a legacy of my childhood that I guard and carry in my heart. And when I look at them, I am filled with a warm feeling of gratitude for all the unforgettable experiences and precious connections they symbolise.
