Simon Findlay, lives and works as an artist in Berlin, Germany. Artistically he focuses on his personal relationship with colour through exhaustive durational visual expression. His process based painting and performance incorporates: cycling over large canvases, moving heavy rocks, collaborating with live musicians and dice as a mechanism of chance. Throughout his work there are recurring themes of: colour theory, plants, gestural movement and playfulness. Outside of art, Findlay has performed music as a drummer, synthesizer player and vocalist with JEES!, Cloud Kinski, Kakariko, Daft Folk and 8 Bit Love. He is a part of multiple art groups in Berlin where he builds installations for immersive experiences, festivals and club events; 90mil, PHANTAZONiA, Pinky Promise, The Palace Collective and Greenhouse Berlin. Additionally he mentors other artists, particularly in the field of process based creativity. Born in Australia, he studied a Bachelor of Science at The University Of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology at Deakin University.
