I am a decorative artist. My direction: figurative. Technique: pastel, acrylic Color experiences are important in my art work. I love the color: bright, clean, juicy. I am very attracted to the bright, rich colors that are available in the acrylic palette and more airy, ghostly-transparent in pastel. That is why, I turned to the images of characters in masks of the Venetian carnival, because I was fascinated by it’s fairy-tale costumes and masks. To my opinion, pastel, as well as possible, is suitable for the transfer of otherness, the feeling of which is created by the carnival environment and shines through from carnival costumes and architectural forms. And acrylic conveys the decorative beauty of the masks in my works.
