The portrait for me is a challenge always. I can't paint just by the photo to make the picture in oil on canvas. I need to know the person: how he smiles, how he speaks, and what emotions inspire him. And I absolutely need to know the story of this person and I must like him/her. Only in this way I can paint the portraits. Only in this way do my portraits become live. I painted this portrait for someone special. He tries to bring to light the names of those Soviet partisans who, deported to Italy, fought during the Second World War, in partisan formations, for the freedom of Italy and the USSR. He wrote books and he obtained different awards. I am very proud that I know him and I've painted him. Inquire about commissions.

Sicilian artist. I am the ambassador of Sicily in the art. I paint love and inspiration from everything around me, from the stones of medieval cobblestones, and lanterns braided with trees to random scenes of ordinary Sicilian life, full of incredible fascination for me and I fill my paintings with it. I cannot imagine my life without Sicily and enjoy every day I spend here. I would love to improve Sicilians' lives, to make the region rich, clean and prosperous. For me, the fusion of a very different history, and culture, the kindness and openness of others, and the stunning nature and food make Sicily a true paradise on Earth. Moreover, I wish my paintings could convey this love and admiration so that they would make people fall in love with Sicily.
