This is a painting from the series "mata", which brings the brazilian nature to oil painting in a close, very intimate view. The painting is very colorful and at the same time quite faithful to the photography, which came before the painting, and was taken by the artist. Those paintings has no vanishing pointing, due the intention to estimulate the feeling the artist has in relation to his experiences into the brazilian nature: _it's very hard to walk anywhere, because the plants are crossing all the ways, and they mix the death parts with the newborn, and all the other wild vegetative life which literaly fights for their place in the light.
