Mayne Range, Outback Queensland Painting

Trevor is an artist who believes that the Australian countryside is a never ending source of creative inspiration. He travels the enormous extremes of deserts and beaches searching for those moments of wonderment. The subtle variations of colour and topography are always very different to anywhere else in the world and well worth the observation and exploration. Trevor obtained his Graphic Art degree at the Natal College of Art in South Africa. This started a thirty year career which took him to senior Creative positions in Johannesburg, London, Frankfurt, Sydney, Adelaide, Bangkok, New York, Tokyo, Melbourne, Dubai and most recently Moscow. His many international awards include the most prestigious Gold Lion at the Cannes Advertising Festival. He really discovered outback Australia after discarding advertising and attending the National Art School in Sydney. This in turn led he and his wife Beryl on a two year off-road Australia odyssey. This culminated in a successful solo exhibition at the Atwell Gallery in Perth and then another in Melbourne. He now paints full time at his studio in Cooroy surrounded by the verdant Noosa Hinterland. He attends a life drawing group in Tewantin and draws and paints figures with all the passion and energy that he pours into his landscapes.
