About The Artwork
Mentiras en Otoño (2012) is a large format painting that combined acrylic with sanguine technique, giving an ocher tone to the composition. Part of a series inspired by the seasons, this piece call up the autumn. The center of the composition is a lopsided human figure sitting on a chair, whose nose emerges as a leafless tree. The piece makes a parenthesis between the icon of Pinocchio (given by the long nose) and the melancholy that inspires the fall (given by the ocher color and the blurred figure).
