This is a plein air painting of Meridian Hill Park in Washington, DC. I walk through this park often. It forms a part of my daily experience. One of the things I enjoy about it is the contrast between the ordered regularity of the benches and the great tumult of trees above them. I hope to impart some of this enjoyment to the viewer.
