ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This dreamy mixed media painting on canvas dipicts a pair of frolicking butterflies (a motif the artist uses to signify the soul which is free of it's earthly constraints) in an other wordly utopia. The rich colors are a sensual mix of purple,rust, orange/red, blues and neutrals creating at once a tranquil yet vibrant piece with lots of movement. There are yarns and fabrics that are collaged onto the surface of the painting creating a textural and interesting piece. It is framed in a natural wood floating frame.
