Men are not the 'feelingless gender'. Rather, many are trapped in the confines of a socialization process that tells them it’s unmanly to cry, to hurt, or to express the myriad other motions we all experience as a result of living fully as human beings. Therefore, men may convert stereotypically feminine feelings into feelings more socially acceptable for them to experience or may express emotions only with those they are comfortable with. Sometimes they withdraw themselves into their own cocoon when they feel that their emotions are being attacked or judged by this society. Just as a caterpillar takes time to transform itself into a beautiful butterfly, a man who is learning to embrace his deeper truths will need time to fully ripen into his potential.
