Micro Painting

This work is inspired by biology and ecosystems. Whether micro, or macro, these complex systems include both harmonious, and chaotic forces.I am particularly intrigued by human physiology.The human body is an incredibly complicated organic machine with its numerous and diverse activities of cells, tissues, organs, and systems. The dynamic of all these systems is akin to how multiple systems within aquatic ecosystems function. Because water is essential to life, the health of aquatic ecosystems directly relates to the health of people and other living creatures. My investigation of these themes employs elements of design including form, color, texture, and scale. The experience and relationship a person has with my pieces is very important to me.
